International Mental Health Leadership Program (iMHLP)
iMHLP is a collaborative initiative of The Centre for International Mental Health, University of Melbourne, and The Department of Social Medicine, Harvard Medical School.

iMHLP is a leadership training program and a global network of mental health professionals committed to mental health system development.
One of the key benefits of participation in the Program is the opportunity to engage with the issues and people at the forefront of international mental health today. The iMHLP is a global network of Fellows, alumni and international faculty in dialogue and collaborating on mental health reform across diverse societies.The network of iMHLP Fellows and mentors is strong in East Asia and the Pacific. We are now encouraging the participation of colleagues from Eastern Europe, India,Africa and the Americas. A stronger and broader network will create increased possibilities for collaboration in research and service development, and the opportunity for members of the network to learn from, and to support, each other. The Program is open to professionals from all disciplines that can make a contribution to mental health system development, including psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, and mental health service administration. The network of iMHLP Fellows and mentors is strong in East Asia and the Pacific.We are now encouraging the participation of colleagues from Eastern Europe, India,Africa and the Americas. - Intensive seminars focusing on global mental health, policy development, services design and evaluation, and mental health systems research, and project design.
- Self-directed learning using CD-ROM program materials and guided on-line learning using comprehensive web-based curriculum modules.
- Supervision of project work by Melbourne, Harvard and International Faculty.
- Mentoring by senior colleagues in the participants' own countries.
- Continuing support from a peer network linking current iMHLP Fellows with Program Alumni.
- Regional meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences, and the annual International Mental Health Development Conference.
