A/Professor Alex Cohen is an Instructor in the Department of Social Medicine, Harvard Medical School, where he has acted as the Co-Ordinator of the World Mental Health Project. Dr Cohen has researched homeless mentally ill persons and published articles on mental health issues in low-income countries.

A/Professor Vikram Patel has a special interest in public health psychiatry and epidemiology. Dr Patel is a Senior Lecturer in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and currently conducts research and training programs in mental health in India.

Anura  

Dr. Anura Jayasinghe

Anura is a community physician currently working as a research fellow at the Centre for International Mental Health and his research interest is in child maltreatment. In Sri Lanka Anura is working in the Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition as an epidemiologist. He involved in graduate teaching at the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine: Colombo and Faculty of Medical Sciences: University of Sri Jayawardanapura, Sri Lanka. He is a consultant of community healthcare activities; carried out in provincial and national level in Sri Lanka. Anura received his Medical Degree (MBBS) from University of Peradeniya, and holds a Master in Community Medicine from Post Garaduate Institute of Medicine Colombo, and is a Doctor of Community Medicine.

Dr Yutaro Setoya

Dr. Yutaro Setoya is a Section Chief at the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, National Institute of Mental Health, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry, Japan. He holds a PhD in Health Science (Mental Health) from Tokyo University. His interest is in child and adolescent mental health and community mental health and has many research experiences in these fields. He is working for the Japanese government, in research in order to support the decision making of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

He is currently a Research Fellow at the CIMH and will analyze the Australian mental health reform process and compare it with the Japanese process, and will also participate in international mental health projects and researches.
